A specialist conference on civil liability and insurance

Organised by the Road Traffic Law, Civil Liability and Insurance Committee, the conference will bring together professionals from the legal, academic, medical and insurance sectors to examine current issues relating to civil liability, the assessment of damages, insurance and the new challenges arising from technology and artificial intelligence.

The programme will address matters of particular practical relevance, including claims arising from falls on public roads, recent developments concerning Articles 134 and 135 of the statutory compensation scale, compensation for non-pecuniary damage resulting from intentional offences, the application of the road traffic compensation scale outside the field of road traffic accidents, medical liability in the context of telemedicine and artificial intelligence, and issues relating to damage caused by artificial intelligence.

Disclosure of risk in life insurance

Eugenio Llamas Pombo’s presentation will take place on Friday, 12 June, at 12:30 p.m., under the title “The insured’s duty to disclose risk in life insurance.”
