Eugenio Llamas Pombo holds a PhD in Law and has been Professor of Civil Law at the University of Salamanca since 1998.

He has been a practicing lawyer for 38 years and previously served as managing partner of Llamas Abogados. He is President of the Latin American Civil Law Network Ivs Civile Salmanticense, Honorary Doctor of the National University of Tucumán (Argentina), and Corresponding Member of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation. He is also an honorary member of the Italian Society of Civil Law Scholars, the Brazilian Academy of Civil Law, and the Colombian Academy of Jurisprudence.

He is the author or editor of 31 books and has published 180 academic articles in Spanish and international journals and collective works. He has also delivered more than 300 lectures and presentations at national and international conferences.

He is the founder and director of the journal Práctica Derecho de Daños and has served as a visiting professor at more than thirty universities across Europe and the Americas.
