Lawyer

Eugenio Llamas Pombo holds a PhD in Law and has been a Professor of Civil Law at the University of Salamanca since 1998.

A practicing lawyer with 38 years of experience, he was managing partner of the firm Llamas Abogados, chairs the Red de Civilistas Latinoamericanos Ivs Civile Salmanticense, is Doctor Honoris Causa of the Universidad S.P. Tucumán (Argentina), and a corresponding member of the Real Academia de Jurisprudencia y Legislación, as well as an honorary member of the Società Italiana degli Studiosi di Diritto Civile, the Academia Brasileira de Dereito Civil and the Academia Colombiana de Jurisprudencia.

He is the author or coordinator of 31 books, has published 180 articles in Spanish and foreign journals and collective works, and has given more than 300 lectures and presentations at national and international conferences.

He is the founder and director of the Revista Práctica Derecho de Daños, and a visiting professor at some thirty universities in Europe and America.
